So I've played around the game a bit and I wanted to mention some stuff that could make the game a bit better :
- I'm unsure about the music. I mean it was funny at first when I heard it in the trailer. It was fitting once I went to the shop, but classical pixel music when you're getting destroyed by tons of mobs? It gets kinda awkward.
-The game lacks some visual FX. We need muzzle flashes when we shoot, blood when we hit a mob and maybe sparkles when we hit walls or the ground. Maybe make the gun recoil as well if possible (i know it may get annoying doing this in pixels...) and shells going to the ground.
-The "close tip and never show again" thing looks like a button to remove all tips, but its just to remove the tip you just showed. IMO Tips should be automatically removed when we press close because we don't really want to see it another time anyway. The other button should be to clear tips completely. (With an option to reactivate in the preferences of course)
-We need to be told of the default controls when we first enter the game. Either with a Tip or by writings on the background or something.
-The energy bar doesn't feel pixelish enough... but maybe thats just me.
Stuff that has already been said, but should still be done :
-Dropping on platforms. Thats a must.
-Female option on char creation.
-MULTIPLAYER!!!11! (Preferably coop, but a pvp option could be made as well)
Now don't think I hate the game, I actually really enjoy it. There is a lot of good stuff and potential thrown into this but all it lacks is a bit... more!
Edit : Also, maybe make the game x2 zoomed for better pixelization and surprise?

Yes, I agree it could use some more FX, but unfortunately there is so much to be done and so little time , have to prioritize or the game will never be out! I like the shell flying around the best. The thing is most people that playtested the game would see a tip and close it right away, thinking that they would come to it later. Also if you'd disable it by mistake, then you'd be missing important information. I think the Disable Tip we have right now is good because you can disable that tip in one click so it's not annoying. But maybe it's not obvious enough of what it does right away (meaning people dont get the difference between 'close tip' and 'disable tip') Any ideas on that subject are welcome. Not sure what you mean exactly by that. Can you give an example ? Really want to do it, but it's a lot of work... Gonna start a kickstarter to fund that feature, see how many people are interested We'd love to do coop, but right now we have concentrated our effort on a solid singleplayer experience. Multi is a lot of work (design, coding, testing). Hopefully in a later update of the game. Yes, we have a fertile ground for many more improvements and cool features. But we think the full game is already very fun and addictive. So we can add more stuff later on after the first release. You know you can zoom in already? Or did you mean you want to be forced the whole game in X2 (because we tried and it's really hard as your sight is severely limited).

Maybe put the disable tip as the first button but have a prompt after saying like "Are you sure you want to disable the tip?" to avoid accidentally removing it. I meant to force it but if its too hard then never mind that. But I still feel like the game is a bit too zoomed out for a pixel game... is it possible to.. like zoom 1.5x?

Concerning your picture: We will not drop down any block in the first release, since it would break AI behaviour. We'd like to do it in an update.

Beta 2 Feedback
Now now, the beta 2 is good. Better than the first one definitely.
But I ain't here to say how good the beta is and all, I'm here to say WHY it is and how it could be even better...!
About the girls, I'm really glad you could pull this off. No idea why but I've always had more fun exploring games by playing girls for some.. unknown reasons even for me. Whatever. There is a few thing though, and its sad because I don't think you can actually fix it because of how the game is built :
- The hats. When you put, lets say, an adventurer hat to get its bonuses and all, you lose the HAIR. So your girly girl now look bald and tbh thats a bit akward. Now I know that hair is considered hats as well and even if it wasn't, its hard game wise to put the same hair you had with the hat because the hair will be seen through the hat because its sprite is bigger blah blah blah... whatever. I've got some kind of solution though. Have 2 slots for wearables. One vanity, one normal. Lets say I want to keep my girl girly, I'd put her hair on the vanity section where the hair would show as appearance, and the hat I'd simply put it into the normal section to get its bonus. (Kind of like Terraria). If the vanity section is empty, then it would just show the normal hat.
- Again for the hair, it lacks some kind of longer, shoulder length, more proper standard/generic hair.
Now for stuff unrelated to girls :
- I've noticed there's a few more music pieces (unless I never heard them before oO) But they often seem out of place. Some times I get some kind of creepy noise sequence with heavy monster breathing and I start looking around for a boss (because it makes me think there's one) but there isn't any. I think you need to change music type depending on your location. Smooth classical in shop/safehouse, Action/fast classical when outside, creepy heavy breathing when there's a boss or you're in a place where there's stealthy teleporting mobs or something. (<--- sweet idea right there)
- I'm sticking with my FX, dropping down platforms, default controls shown at start ideas of course.
Now for stuff I actually liked!
- Of course, the girls are an awesome addition. It also shows you care for your community and thats a big huge fat PLUS!
- Tooltips are pretty much fixed now.
- Turrets are neat, its one of the first things I noticed before looking at the new features. (that and the girls)
- Collision does seems better now too.
Things I'm unsure about :
- The bonuses on the hats, while a nice addition, may force you to wear a specific hat for its attribute, even if you don't like it visually. The vanity option would fix this though.
Overall, you did a great job at fixing things the community found wrong. I'd give you guys a cookie but... well... you know.

It would be nice to change the controls as part of the options because playing with the arrows feels kind of awkward on my computer.
The other thing I think would be nice is just the ability to change the ratio of the window size, but I'm sure that will be implemented before the actual game is released, otherwise I think this will be a fantastic game and I can't wait to get a copy of it.
